Software Introduction:
Vista is the development code name for Microsoft's next-generation operating system. Since the release of Windows XP, Microsoft has changed its habit of upgrading the system every two years or so, and for several years, it has not introduced any new operating systems, but rather made some minor patches to the existing ones (Windows 2003 is still a product of the Windows XP series). Instead, Microsoft has focused all its efforts and hopes on Vista.
Through Microsoft's relentless promotion, we already know that Vista is planned to integrate humanized operational interaction, a 3D graphical user interface, a new partition format, entirely new features, and hardware support, making it a highly anticipated piece of software among enthusiasts and the media.
However, good things often come with challenges. Due to the inclusion of too many new functions and features, the development of Vista has been fraught with difficulties, resulting in repeated delays. The release date has been postponed from 2004 to the recently announced end of 2005. Both Microsoft, consumers, and the media have had their patience tested by the endless delays and waiting. This ultimately prompted Microsoft to make the decision to remove some of the more difficult-to-develop new features, such as WINFS format support, in order to expedite the launch of Longhorn.
