According to the report by our newspaper (reporter: Yu Jie, correspondent: Cui Wei), yesterday the Fengtai District People's Procuratorate disclosed that Nanjing had sentenced six cases of credit card fraud where malicious overdrafts were mainly due to ignorance. The procuratorate approved the arrest of Zhang, an 18-year-old woman, and her boyfriend Li on suspicion of robbery and theft. It was charged that during the summer vacation, Zhang, a part-time writer earning 150 yuan per article, ran away from home with her boyfriend after they spent all their money and stole a Jinbei vehicle, getting caught by the police at a checkpoint.
The Fengtai District People's Procuratorate introduced that Zhang, 18 years old, came from a wealthy family, worked part-time as a writer during the summer vacation earning 150 yuan per article, and lived without worry. She had a big argument with her father over trivial matters and decided to run away from home with her boyfriend Li. In October 2010, the two came to Beijing for a week of sightseeing and found that the money they brought when they ran away was all gone, so they thought about going to a recruitment agency to find work. The recruitment agency recommended they become security guards. While they were complaining about the poor working conditions and low wages, they met Fu who also came to look for work.
Fu suggested the three of them commit robbery together, and Li and Zhang readily agreed. They first bought knives, gloves, and other tools, then began looking for targets. Soon, Fu found a Jinbei car in a parking lot that was unattended and suggested stealing the car. Thinking it would be easy and quick to make money, Li and Zhang agreed. Fu climbed into the car through the side door window that was left open and found the car keys on the passenger seat, successfully driving the car away. On the way, they passed through a checkpoint where they were stopped by the police due to their nervousness and suspicious behavior. Without driver's licenses and unable to explain the origin of the car, they had no choice but to admit to stealing it.
Recently, the People's Procuratorate of Fengtai District, Beijing, prosecuted Zhang and Li for robbery and theft.
