After the renovation is completed, it's time to start the acceptance inspection. As a common space, the comfort level of the bedroom is very important. So, how do we inspect the bedroom after renovation? Besides checking the wall and floor decoration craftsmanship, there are many details that need our attention.
Firstly, check if there are any gaps between the bedroom window edges and the concrete joints.
If your bedroom has a floor-to-ceiling window or an external bay window, they should be installed straight and firmly. The window railings should also be intact, sturdy, undamaged, and free of scratches. Check for any warping or deformation here carefully. Try opening and closing the windows to ensure smooth operation, complete accessories, and no missing parts. Acceptance of the bedroom must not be troublesome, and every small detail should be checked thoroughly.
Next, check the precise location of the bedroom windows and ensure the locks are consistent.
The window glass should have a smooth surface, full putty, and be securely fastened without damage or scratches. Ensure the screen windows are properly installed, undamaged, and open and close smoothly. Check the roughness around the outer window frame, whether the opening panel can be opened, if the handle is loose, and if each corner of the window glass is sealed. After opening, check if the window can be fixed, if the right-angle joint is tight, if the window frame surface is shiny, if the four corners form right angles, if the bottom track of the window is smooth, if the windowsill is smooth (not scratching your hand), and if there are any water stains on the windowsill. If so, it could indicate a leaking window, and check if the surrounding internal treatment is rough.
Check if there are exposed pipes or radiator returns indoors.
When entering the bedroom, first "knock and tap" to observe if there are any hollow drums or peeling on the floors and walls. Then "look around" to see if there are exposed pipelines, radiator returns, or other pipelines crossing the room, as too many pipelines can cause difficulties in decoration and visual obstructions.
