Yesterday, Zhou Guoan, who works at the Tongren Local Tax Bureau, approached a reporter to say that he and his son had twice spotted unidentified flying objects (UFOs) in the urban sky within three days. They used a DV camera to record the UFO flying in the night sky for nearly 20 minutes. They suspect that a UFO "visited" Tongren.

According to Zhou Guoan, aged 43, he lives near Tongren No. 2 Middle School, where his 14-year-old son, Zhou Linzhengxiang, studies in Class 8 of the third year of junior high school. On the evening of October 8 at 7:30 PM, Zhou Linzhengxiang, who enjoys breakdancing, went with ten classmates to the school rehearsal hall to practice a performance. When they reached the school playground, they suddenly noticed an irregularly moving bright object in the sky above Tongren No. 2 Hospital. It was brighter than the stars. The flying object changed size, sometimes becoming larger or smaller, and occasionally disappearing. When it became its largest, it emitted colorful lights before vanishing. After a while, the flying object reappeared. A classmate of Zhou Linzhengxiang had a DV camera and immediately began filming the object. Zhou Linzhengxiang also ran home to fetch his own DV camera and recorded about seven minutes of footage. That night, the unknown flying object continued to appear for approximately 20 minutes before disappearing.

On October 9, Zhou Guoan observed from 7 PM until after 9 PM but did not spot any unidentified flying objects. On the evening of October 10, Zhou Linzhengxiang and his father took the footage of the unidentified flying object to their grandmother's house to play it on the TV. Around 7:30 PM that evening, Zhou Linzhengxiang went to the roof to watch and again discovered an unidentified flying object in the sky above Tongren No. 2 Hospital. It was almost identical to the one seen on the evening of October 8. Surprised, Zhou Linzhengxiang immediately called his father, Zhou Guoan, to bring the DV camera to film. This time, they recorded nearly six minutes of video of the unidentified flying object.

The appearance of the unidentified flying object has sparked great interest among many citizens of Tongren. Some residents said that four years ago, an unidentified flying object also appeared over Tongren National Teachers College, and it was even larger than the one seen this time. They hope relevant authorities will intervene in the investigation. Zhou Guoan stated that if the scientific research department needs the tape of the unidentified flying object recorded by him and his son, they are willing to provide it.
