My new house has found a lot of leaking water pipes. Now the owners of the first phase are renovating, and if they find leaks after the renovation is done, just imagine what the consequences would be? House inspection is a prerequisite and guarantee for delivery of the house. A professional house inspection is like a good doctor practicing medicine - not only does it diagnose problems one by one, but it also prescribes effective remedies. Through inspection, homeowners can receive their houses with peace of mind and move in with confidence. By having the developer make corrections, the risks after moving in can be minimized to the greatest extent, and it can also reduce the economic investment and rework probability of subsequent work (such as decoration projects), avoiding some unnecessary economic losses. At the same time, it can also provide strong evidence for claims.
There are mainly two situations for leaks: one is the main pipe leakage - the main pipe was not pressurized after completion, leaving hidden dangers. After using the water pipes, water gradually seeps out and slowly leaks down to the floor below. The second situation is that the upstairs renovation changes the pipeline causing leaks. Strongly suggest solutions: Solve the first situation - conduct a main pipe pressure test (individual household pressure test, apply 8 pressures) for 30 minutes. If the pressure drops, it indicates the main pipe is leaking, and you need to dig up the ground to find the leak point (usually at the joint). The second situation is that after the owner modifies the water pipe, a pressure test must be conducted (8 pressures for 30 minutes). You can also do both simultaneously: first pressurize the main water pipe, then pressurize the modified water pipes in your home. Several cases of main water pipe leaks have been discovered and resolved. It's better to continue identifying and solving these issues. Main water pipe leaks must be taken seriously by property management; otherwise, future leaks will cause serious consequences. Not only will there be huge economic losses, but the reputation damage to the community will also be significant. It’s actually an issue of responsibility - conducting a pressure test is very simple. Irresponsible actions should be punished severely!
I suggest all owners participate in more activities before renovation, such as group renovation site events or check out the renovation classes at Decoration E Station Tong. It’s also beneficial to learn more about renovation knowledge and case studies.
