Step One: Silent Years
A counter is something that every homepage should have (here we only discuss counters with ranking lists). It not only records every step of your growth, but also makes your site famous through the rankings. So it's better to do it sooner rather than later. There’s also the issue of placement; it's best to put it on the main home page.
Step Two: Register with Search Engines
Although registering with search engines is the primary way to make your site well-known, there are still some tricks involved—it's not just about registering and leaving it at that. The role of search keywords (keywords) is very important. Since the definitions of keywords vary in different regions, you should try to highlight your own characteristics. If your site is like many others, just follow the closest keywords and add a few sections, which can increase the chances of being found in searches.
Step Three: Spread the Word
Exchange ads are an essential part of every website. At this stage, your site is still in the process of being enriched, and the counter might make you feel embarrassed. So, it's time to advertise and promote yourself. It's best to prioritize domestic 1:1 ad exchange sites. Most foreign sites have lower exchange ratios, and their sites need to have an English version. Additionally, banners should preferably be in color to stimulate the eyes, and their size should be 10%-20% smaller than the specified size to easily attract visitors' attention.
