The cross stitch method involves mixed stitching, and this guide will teach you how to blend embroidery threads.

Behind the symbol for mixed stitches, there are usually two color codes (or numbers). Depending on the specifications of the fabric used, the number of strands of embroidery thread selected will also vary.

For small grid fabric (14CT), when using 2 strands of thread for a full stitch, select one strand of each of the two indicated colors and stitch them together.

For medium grid fabric (11CT), when using 3 strands of thread for a full stitch, use 2 strands of the first color and 1 strand of the second color, stitching them together.

For large grid fabric (9CT), when using 4 strands of thread for a full stitch, take 2 strands of each of the two colors and stitch them together.
