AC Milan have successively brought in Ibrahimovic and Robinho, and about this, midfield maestro of the Rossoneri, Pirlo, feels very delighted. He praised the club president Berlusconi, believing that these two are gifts given by Berlusconi to Milan. In his view, with the arrival of Ibrahimovic and Robinho, the strength gap between AC Milan and Inter Milan has greatly narrowed.

"Silvio (Berlusconi) has shown his love for the club; he has sent us two precious gifts. His passion for the club is back," Pirlo said in an interview on September 1st. The arrival of Ibrahimovic and Robinho made Pirlo see the hope of Milan catching up with Inter Milan. He said: "Now, the gap between us and Inter Milan has narrowed. Two strong attacking players have joined us, and when necessary, they can play together."

Pirlo looks forward to a new 'magical quartet' featuring Pato, Ronaldinho, Ibrahimovic, and Robinho: "Once Ibrahimovic and Robinho adapt to the team and integrate into our system, we can let Pato, Ibrahimovic, Ronaldinho, and Robinho play at the same time."

After talking about Milan, Pirlo also chatted about the national team. Italy is about to face Estonia and the Faroe Islands in the European Championship qualifiers. Pirlo stated that after the tragedy of the South Africa World Cup, the Italian team must present a completely new look. He also bluntly pointed out the current lack of strength in Italian football: "After the World Cup, we must play well again. The South Africa World Cup told us that if you have the strength, you can win. Quick passing and ball control are what we must learn. The problem with Italian football now is the lack of strength; there are issues with players, fans, and stadiums. We must realize this."

Looking ahead to the matches against Estonia and the Faroe Islands, Pirlo confidently said: "We must start our post-World Cup journey with two victories, and we must play well. The match against Estonia won't be easy; they are a pretty good team, but Italy must win."
