The Kuomintang army, codenamed Hubin, followed the secret order to defend the city until death, exhausting their ammunition, without reinforcements, and almost no soldiers left, yet they fought for sixteen days against the Japanese army. The film features over 60 minutes of intense battle scenes, comprehensively showcasing eight types of modern warfare situations such as bombing, charging, bayonet fighting, angry battles, city sieges, street fights, and massacres.
