"The latest statistics show that among Chinese search engines, Baidu accounts for 74.88% of website traffic, Google accounts for 13.54%, and Yahoo! only accounts for 3.94%." On September 6th, CNZZ (Chinese Webmasters Union) announced this data at its "Search Engine Marketing Conference."

The sample size for this data was 663 million, sourced from websites within CNZZ's statistical system. CNZZ, which is mainly composed of vertical and personal website webmasters, evaluates search engines differently than general assessments of website market share from a user perspective. It places greater emphasis on reflecting the ability of search engine websites to ultimately bring in traffic. The data shows that Baidu's contribution to traffic for Chinese websites has exceeded Google's by more than five times.

Previously, according to data from third-party research institution iResearch, Baidu's user market share was around 67%; whereas the data published by CNZZ indicates that Baidu already accounts for nearly 80% of search traffic sources on regular websites. There is a growing trend towards an increasing gap between Baidu and other domestic search engines in terms of market share.
