Dedicating the New Year's aspiration, the heart mantra of the Medicine Buddha is: Om Bekanze Bekanze Maha Bekanze Razasamukha Siddhi Hum. There are many mantras in the Buddhist scriptures. I have written articles before on classic scriptures such as the Heart Sutra of Prajñāpāramitā, parts one and two. Reciting the name of the Buddha and reciting mantras have many differences. Some Buddhist scriptures are translated, while mantras mostly originate from Sanskrit and are phonetically translated. There are also many rules regarding mantras. For example, some are common mantras, some are passed down by teachers, and others are secretly transmitted mantras. Not all mantras are suitable for recitation. In my understanding, the heart mantra of the Medicine Buddha contains profound meanings of the Buddhas in simple sentences, and this mantra embodies the immeasurable merits of the Twelve Great Vows made by the Medicine Buddha.
