On December 26, the Haidian District People's Court of Beijing Municipality concluded a case on name right brought by Beijing Google Technology Co., Ltd. against Google Information Technology (China) Co., Ltd., rejecting the plaintiff Beijing Google Technology Co., Ltd.'s request for the defendant Google Information Technology (China) Co., Ltd. to stop infringement and change its business name. The plaintiff Beijing Google Technology Co., Ltd. claimed that its company was approved by the Haidian Branch of the Beijing Municipal Administration for Industry and Commerce on April 19, 2006. Since February 2007, the company had received countless calls every day looking for the defendant Google Information Company, seriously disrupting its normal operations.
