1. The Ascendant is the primary attraction in a romantic relationship, drawing the Sun. The most notable combination between genders is when the woman's Ascendant opposes the man's Sun.
Example: Woman’s Ascendant in Leo vs. Man’s Sun in Aquarius.
The man will be captivated by the woman, while the woman perceives the man as radiating positive and active energy. However, if the relationship is to go beyond surface-level attraction, other conjunctions must also be considered, such as the 2011 zodiac trends.
2. The Moon represents one's emotions, feelings, and daily habits. To ensure mutual comfort, the two Moons must be compatible. Below is a compatibility list by zodiac signs:

3. Mercury governs communication styles. For effective communication between two people, Mercury compatibility is crucial. Yang Mercury tends to be louder and more talkative, while Yin Mercury is quieter and more sensitive.
4. For practical influence and sexual harmony, there should at least be a harmonious aspect between Venus and Mars (by sign), which is very important—preferably the man's Mars with the woman's Venus. Disharmonious aspects may create excitement but usually do not last long. Venus will not accept courtship from an incompatible Mars.
5. The Sun represents our spirit and eternal center. For true love to endure, it is essential that both parties' Suns have harmonious aspects. Sextiles (one or two signs apart forward or backward) and trines (four signs apart forward or backward) are the most favorable, followed by oppositions (six signs apart) and conjunctions (same sign). Square aspects are the worst (three signs apart), followed by semi-sextiles (one sign apart) and quincunxes (five signs apart).
6. For friendship and love, having a harmonious Sun/Moon combination in the chart is important. One of the most famous couples or lovers' combinations is when the man's Moon is conjunct the woman's Sun.
Of course, there are other important planetary combinations in romantic relationships, but without these basic combinations mentioned above, it is likely to be just a fleeting romance.
