December 16, 2007 -- Baidu, the dominant force in Chinese-language search, and Huawei, a global supplier of telecommunications network solutions, have reached a strategic cooperation agreement. The two sides will build a joint laboratory and reach cooperation in many forms regarding 3G and telecom services. Industry analysts pointed out that the cooperation between the two parties is to prepare for the mobile search market which is about to grow explosively. With the gradual improvement in mobile phone performance, the approaching commercial use of 3G, and users' increasingly growing demand for information searches, mobile search services are entering a phase of rapid development.
