When I first arrived, like most people, I thought it was the beautiful clothes that set off their figures. Later, I learned that in fact, it was their beautiful figures that enhanced the clothes. The physique of Vietnamese girls is also unique. The reason I have this view is because I also had the honor of having a beautiful Vietnamese ao dai custom-made for myself. As a young girl with a moderate figure who has worn Chinese cheongsam and found it very fitting, when I put on the Vietnamese ao dai, I didn't have the same charm as them. I always felt it wasn't close-fitting enough. After much thought, I came to the conclusion that Vietnamese girls' physiques are more flat, with smaller arms and waists. On the other hand, Chinese girls, especially those from the north, tend to have rounder figures. The tailoring of Chinese cheongsams is also more rounded, while the Vietnamese ao dai is cut flatter and tighter, allowing no room for any extra fat on the body. The split goes up to the waist, emphasizing the waist even more, and loose pants are worn underneath, creating a visual contrast. This is why we often see Vietnamese beauties with such slender waists.
