Microsoft's Next-Generation System "Windows 7" to Feature Touch Technology
Microsoft engineers have recently confirmed that the next-generation operating system after Windows Vista, named "Windows 7," will support touch technology. Microsoft test engineer Hilton Locke stated: "If Apple iPhone's touchscreen technology has left a deep impression on you, then once 'Windows 7' is released, it will surely make you forget about the iPhone."
As early as July this year, Gartner analyst Michael Silver indicated that Microsoft's next-generation operating system, "Windows 7," might adopt a touch-based user interface. In July this year, Microsoft also revealed plans to release a new version of the operating system after Windows Vista within three years, with the internal code name "Windows 7."
