In 2001, only 5% of the world's mail was spam, in 2004 it was 70%, and this year, according to data from Barracuda Networks, that figure has jumped to 95%. This data was derived from the analysis of its customers' E-mail forwarding records and user surveys. The survey showed that 65% of users receive more than 10 spam emails almost every day, and 13% of users are even overwhelmed by spam - more than 50 emails.
