July 29 news: According to foreign media reports, following the fire of a Dell laptop at a venue in Japan last month, this week, a Dell laptop caught fire again in the United States, and even alerted the firefighters.
According to British media reports, at 4 p.m. on July 25 (Tuesday) in U.S. time, an office building was suddenly filled with smoke, which alarmed the firefighters. After investigation, it was found that a Dell laptop had caught fire.
Pictures taken from the scene show that the lower right corner of the notebook keyboard has been burned into a huge hole, and the upper right corner of the LCD screen has been charred.
In June this year, during an industry conference held in Japan, a Dell laptop also caught fire suddenly. There were multiple explosions, and the entire process lasted for more than 5 minutes. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
Regarding the fire incident in June, Dell stated that it was due to lithium-ion batteries. However, up to now, the root cause of the fire has not been identified.
According to a report by the well-known channel website CRN on the 20th of this month, Dell had received multiple similar accident reports at least three years ago, but Dell did not take appropriate measures in time.
