Google China (G.cn) quietly placed the video search link on its homepage today (as shown in the figure), which indicates that Google will use video search to make up for the regret of "some advanced services being unable to be provided according to local laws in the United States." Due to the reasons of American intellectual property rights laws, Google still cannot provide a "MP3 music search" service without legal obstacles worldwide. This has become a disadvantage for Google's inability to compete "equally" with Baidu in the Chinese market. Different from what I previously thought, Google China has taken a roundabout approach by using the "video search" model to temporarily replace music search. After all, many video websites also offer music playback channels. This not only avoids copyright issues but also well addresses the desire of Chinese users for audio and video resources.
