The US has developed a computer program software that can repair hardware vulnerabilities.

A new software which can search for chip loopholes and put forward the optimal repair method has been developed by researchers at the University of Michigan. This technology is undoubtedly good news for chip manufacturers such as AMD and Intel, because with the shrinking of transistors and the increasing complexity of chip design, hardware defects are becoming more common. Normally, it takes a year of debugging on prototype chips before mass production. Now, the emergence of this new software can shorten the time to bring chips to market and reduce costs by reducing the number and duration of prototype chip tests, and also improve the reliability of the chips that eventually enter the market.
