Yesterday, Tencent (0700.HK) launched a precise targeting system for online advertising, marking the first time a Chinese internet portal company has independently introduced such technology for targeted online advertising. "Different users visiting Tencent's website will see different advertisements," said Ye Ping Jiang, General Manager of Tencent's Advertising Platform and Product Department yesterday. He added that this precise ad delivery system will cover platforms such as Tencent’s portal site and its instant messaging tool QQ.
