According to Reuters, Tom Meredith, the chief financial officer of mobile phone producer Motorola, said on Thursday that the company's possibility of separation could not be ruled out and confirmed the company's profit estimate for the fourth quarter. When asked about billionaire investor Carl Icahn's recent call for Motorola to be split into several parts, Meredith did not rule out the possibility of structural changes in the company, which has handed over its market share to competitors due to poor performance of its mobile phone product line. "I believe there is a great opportunity for us to create enormous economic value as a whole. Does this mean that other options are not feasible? Absolutely not," Meredith said in an investor video conference.
