Blizzard Confirms Development of Next-Gen MMO Underway

Blizzard has always been very secretive about its new projects under development. However, some job postings have revealed Blizzard's new plans, which have also been officially confirmed. On Blizzard's recruitment page, the listings "Lead 3D Character Artist - Next-Gen MMO" and "Lead 3D Environment Artist - Next-Gen MMO" are prominently displayed. Clearly, Blizzard is recruiting a Lead 3D Character Artist and a Lead 3D Environment Artist for the next generation of Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO) games.

Players then engaged in discussions and speculations on Blizzard's North American official forum. Forum moderator Drysc responded by saying: "There is indeed a new next-generation MMO that hasn't been announced yet, but it's not a new expansion pack for 'World of Warcraft.'"

Drysc's response obviously sparked more mysteries, prompting many players to start guessing what the next MMO game might be: "Is it 'World of Warcraft 2'? 'Diablo III'? 'World of Starcraft'?"
