Acer spends about 1.2 billion USD to become an Olympic TOP sponsor

Later on evening of June 6, Acer announced that it would become an Olympic global partner (TOP sponsor) starting from 2009. The market estimated that Acer would spend 1-1.2 billion US dollars for this purpose, which set a record in Acer's marketing expenditure. However, Wang Zhentang, Chairman of Acer pointed out that compared with the company's revenue of 30-40 billion US dollars in 2012, this expenditure would be very easy to bear.
