At the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, for every gold medal won by Chinese athletes, the Haier Group will donate to build a Haier Hope Primary School, which will be named after the Olympic champion. On December 3rd, the "Haier Full Support for Beijing 2008 Olympic Games Chinese Sports Delegation and Haier Olympic Hope Primary School Launching Ceremony" was held in Beijing. At the conference, Mr. Zhou Yunjie, Vice President of the Haier Group, elaborated on the concept of Haier being the host of the Olympics, and introduced how Haier will play the role of the host for the 2008 Olympics.
