WebFives will shut down operations by the end of this year following its acquisition by Microsoft. The company, originally founded in 2004 as Vizrea and reemerged as WebFives, focused on mobile content uploading and sharing services. In a November 30th email to users, Mike Toutonghi noted that the company's back-end technology would be used to enhance MSN and Windows Live's mobile video, photo, and music sharing offerings.
