December 19 - According to foreign media reports, Yahoo! posted a blog last Friday to refute the news that it would close its bookmarking service website Delicious, and stated that although Delicious does not fit into the company's strategy, the service will not be closed currently. Instead, Yahoo plans to sell it.
The blog expressed that Yahoo! is actively considering the future of Delicious, and believes that the site will find its ideal home with another company and play to its strengths. Yahoo is currently in contact with various parties and negotiations are ongoing. The company also said it would release new information as soon as possible.
Yahoo! also assured Delicious users not to panic. The company will continue to maintain the site as usual without affecting normal use.
