[Complainant] Mr. Yu
Netizen Mr. Yu reported: On August 12, I bought an Acer (ACER) AS4741G-432G32Mn-2 14-inch laptop computer on JD.com (Order Number: 21384154). On the afternoon of the 13th, JD.com delivered the machine, but I was not at home. When I returned home in the evening and checked it, I found that there were issues with this machine: 1. The battery and the machine have different serial numbers. 2. There are obvious signs of disassembly around the battery compartment. 3. There are obvious usage marks on the keyboard. On August 14, I detected that the hard drive had over 180GB of usage data using a software. On the 13th, I contacted JD.com and even invited them to come to my place or I would take the machine to their office for a face-to-face inspection. However, their customer service did not give me that opportunity. I requested their superior to contact me, which also failed. They replied that the machine is guaranteed to be new, but they did not directly answer the issues I raised. My complaint evaluation on JD.com was also closed by them.

I am a gold user of JD.com, and this incident has greatly hurt my feelings. Looking back at all the items I purchased from JD.com, none of them are without problems. The air conditioner makes noise like a tractor, and it takes almost two minutes to open a 200K image on the TV. At first, I thought it was just product quality issues and didn't take it seriously. After buying this laptop, I finally realized that JD.com's goods from the manufacturer are refurbished machines. They sell these refurbished machines online as genuine products at the price given by the manufacturer. This is a pure deception of consumers!
Hotline tracking: Subsequently, the Citizen Channel contacted the complainant Mr. Yu. Mr. Yu reflected that according to the current state of this laptop, it has been used before. The author also learned that the data stored on the laptop's hard drive can be traced back to as early as March this year, meaning that the notebook was already in use half a year ago.
Subsequently, the Citizen Channel contacted the responsible person of JD.com and informed them of the situation. The responsible person claimed that they would investigate the matter and provide a satisfactory response to the citizens.
