It is reported that in order to guard against phishing and protect the legitimate rights and interests of online shopping users, JD.com has become the first online shopping platform in China to realize "whole-process trustworthy verification" with the help of the "trustworthy website" verification management organization China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC). The latest data from the Chinese Anti-Phishing Website Alliance shows that by the end of October 2010, the alliance had identified and dealt with 28,368 phishing websites. In October 2010 alone, the alliance identified and handled 2,763 phishing websites, an increase of 85% compared to 1,495 in October 2009. In the future, when Internet users shop on JD.com, from entering the site to leaving it, they can verify the authenticity of the current page at any time through the "trustworthy website" verification logo during all steps including browsing, account registration, product selection, order confirmation, settlement, and payment. This move will inevitably lead to a wave of "whole-process trustworthy verification" among major portals, group-buying sites, and discount websites.
