By taking advantage of the漏洞 in the PayEase platform of the telecom company which delays one second to deduct payment, Yuan Chunhong used his self-made software to recklessly top up more than 5000 cards on his computer and stole phone credit worth 3.02 million yuan. This rare means of crime has made the Shenzhen judges who were in charge of the case yesterday feel quite at a loss.

Yuan Chunhong, a Hunan-born man who was brought to court yesterday, previously ran telephone supermarkets in Shenzhen, Guangzhou and other places selling top-up cards. He said that he only graduated from primary school. He said that he saw the online top-up business as a way to make some money, but didn't expect to be deceived by Liu Wei who held a business card saying "Technical Director of China Telecom".
