Recently, the Chinese Knowledge Search Behavior Research Center jointly established by Baidu and Peking University released the "2007 Video Search Industry Research Report." The report showed that Tudou, 56.com (WoLe), and Youku ranked as the top three professional video websites. The report categorized video websites into three types: professional video sites, portal video sites, and video-on-demand sites. Among these, professional video sites were the most favored by internet users, with Tudou ranking first and 56.com (WoLe) second. Youku, which had just announced receiving $25 million in funding, was only ranked third. Sina and China Telecom's Interstar ranked first in the portal and video-on-demand categories respectively.
