If there were no Google

Google is undoubtedly one of the most well-known companies in the world. It not only allows people to freely access information and provides a rationale for the existence of e-commerce, but more importantly, it has proven to the world that "free" can be profitable! Perhaps all of this makes you even more curious — what would the world be like without Google?

There might be many hypotheses: maybe Microsoft would be doing even worse than it is today? Maybe Apple would have gone bankrupt? Or maybe Yahoo! wouldn't still be the most powerful company in the world? What would the world really be like without Google?
