Two men with imitation guns robbed and gang-raped a prostitute

BEIJING - (Reported by Jie Liu) Yan Liang and Zhou Yue targeted "hostesses", robbing and gang raping them as they finished work in the early hours of the morning. It was reported yesterday that Chaoyang Court sentenced Yan Liang and Zhou Yue to 18 years and 17 years in prison respectively for robbery and rape.

After coming to Beijing, Yan Liang and Zhou Yue borrowed money to buy a scrapped Xiaoli car, intending to make money driving it as an unlicensed taxi. However, with poor business, they decided to go out at night and rob people, specifically targeting "hostesses". At around 2 a.m. on July 6 last year, Yan Liang and Zhou Yue drove their scrapped Xiaoli car straight to a dance hall in Chaoyang District where they waited for Ms. Jia to finish her shift. Armed with a replica gun, they abducted her, forcibly gang raped her near Heizhuanghu after which they robbed her of 200 yuan, a mobile phone, and a watch. Ms. Jia remembered the license plate number and after getting into a taxi, she used the driver's phone to call the police.

After being apprehended, Yan Liang and Zhou Yue were prosecuted for both robbery and rape. The prosecution also found out that Yan Liang had previously been sentenced to 8 years in prison for robbery before being paroled.
