In the process of optimizing SEO title tags, there are a few small issues that have been the focus of discussion and debate among many SEO operators.

1. Is it better to use underscores as keyword separators or hyphens? Many new SEO practitioners have this question. Below, I will share some personal insights. Computer programs are composed of English words, and in English, the hyphen “-” is indeed a separator between some words. However, in practice, some large websites, such as Baidu and Tencent, use underscores “_” as separators, while Google uses hyphens as separators. Therefore, a more common method when doing SEO is: if you want to optimize specifically for Baidu or other domestic search engines, use underscores to separate title tags; if you are optimizing for Google or other foreign search engines, use hyphens as separators. Of course, if you want good performance on both Baidu and Google, I suggest using underscores. Additionally, many websites use symbols like “│” to separate keywords, but I do not recommend this practice. In fact, there are no explicit rules about what symbol should be used to separate keywords. I think as long as the search engine can recognize that our keywords are separated, that's fine. Nowadays, I use commas to separate keywords.
