Feixiang News Network (Gaoyang/Writer) - On April 8th, at the International Summit of China Mobile Internet held the previous day, Li Tong, the General Manager of RIM's China Marketing Department, stated that BlackBerry will further focus on the personal user market in China. The business priorities will include email, SNS, instant messaging, etc. In addition, Li Tong mentioned in an interview with reporters that BlackBerry has only reached cooperation agreements with China Telecom and China Mobile, and there are currently no cooperation plans with China Unicom.

In his speech, Li Tong pointed out that BlackBerry not only provides email services but also offers popular applications for overseas BlackBerry personal users such as instant messaging, Facebook, and Twitter. The unique feature of BlackBerry lies in its push technology, which allows many SNS programs to use BlackBerry's push technology to achieve instant updates. Currently, BlackBerry is negotiating cooperation with Chinese Internet companies to integrate some popular Internet applications with mobile terminals.

At the same time, regarding the claims made by Lu Yimin, General Manager of China Unicom, about ongoing negotiations with BlackBerry phone manufacturers, Li Tong responded to related questions from reporters by stating that currently BlackBerry has launched three customized versions of BlackBerry phones with China Mobile and has also reached a cooperation agreement with China Telecom, but there are no cooperation plans with China Unicom yet.

Additionally, concerning the current situation where some domestic BlackBerry users are using the terminal without subscribing to the services provided by RIM, Li Tong informed the reporter that on one hand, the services provided by RIM will undergo localization upgrades, and on the other hand, telecom operators that have agreements with BlackBerry may make new adjustments to service fees based on market feedback.
