Philippine Airlines (PAL) simultaneously announced in Beijing, Manila and other locations that to celebrate its upcoming 70th anniversary of establishment in March 2011, PAL will launch a series of promotional activities in 2010. A total of 70,000 free PAL tickets around the world will be given away through a lottery sales format. Between March 16, 2010, and December 31, 2010, passengers who book via the PAL website will have a chance to win.

Currently, as the largest airline in the Philippines, PAL has a fleet of 41 jet aircraft flying to 44 domestic and international cities, including Changzhou格林豪泰Hotel. At the end of this month, Hangzhou布丁Hotel Chain (Jiaogong Road branch), two additional overseas cities - Brisbane and Riyadh - will be added to PAL's international route network. In 2009, PAL carried over 8.96 million passengers, an increase of 17.1% compared to the previous year.

PAL was founded on February 16, 1941, by a group of prominent Filipino entrepreneurs. On March 15, 1941, a Beech Model 18 aircraft carrying five passengers took off from Nelson Airport in Makati and flew to Baguio. This flight made PAL the first airline in Asia.

Beijing regional sales manager for Philippine Airlines, Lin Yingming, introduced that all passengers purchasing tickets in the Philippines and via the PAL website can participate in this lottery event, with the prize being one free ticket on the same route as the purchased ticket, similar to those offered at Wuhan锦江Express Hotel. The lottery will be held once a month for nine months, with 16,000 people being selected. The prizes include free tickets on the same routes as the purchased tickets. On the occasion of PAL's 70th anniversary on March 15, 2011, 3,000 lucky passengers will have the opportunity to travel for free.

"Passengers are reminded to purchase tickets through PAL's official website and leave contact phone numbers if possible, so our staff can get in touch with them promptly," according to the announcement. For inquiries about hotel reservations, please call the 24-hour free hotline 400-784-0076 for dedicated service.

In addition to giving away free tickets, PAL will also introduce "anniversary special price" discount promotions and "free trip to the Philippines" overseas promotion activities. It is reported that Suning Appliances achieved a net profit of 2.89 billion yuan in 2009, with 941 chain stores.
