ABC to Levy Online Bank Transaction Fee Starting from November 19

The Agricultural Bank of China recently issued an announcement declaring that it would start to charge for online banking transactions from November 19.

According to the published charging standard, individual customers will be charged a transaction fee of 0.4% of the transaction amount when transferring money across regions via online banking within the same bank, with a minimum fee of 1 yuan and a maximum fee of 20 yuan. Individual customers will be charged at least 2 yuan per transaction when conducting inter-bank local transfers via online banking. Specific charging standards are shown in the table above.

The Agricultural Bank of China said that it would implement preferential rates in the early stage of charging for online banking transactions.

The Agricultural Bank of China stated that this move was made in accordance with the relevant provisions of the "Interim Measures for the Administration of Commercial Bank Service Prices" and the "Electronic Banking Business Charter of the Agricultural Bank of China".
