In terms of green tourism shopping in Shanghai, some mall service personnel seriously idle chatting when no consumer is buying; some shop assistants are not active enough. When asked about the goods situation, some lack patience, some others answer while sorting out other goods with a cold attitude. In some malls, part of the goods are not clearly marked with prices, especially for special sale goods whose price tags do not indicate origin, specifications, etc. There are even cases where defective goods are put on shelves for sale and consumer doubts are ignored. The report shows that there are mainly the following problems in the tourism consumption environment. Some catering enterprises do not make their charge items clear and do not take the initiative to provide invoices after meals; within the scenic spots, some catering enterprises reduce service quality due to large passenger flow, such as old menus, greasy floors, servers answering customer questions stiffly, or even arguing with customers; some high-star hotels and small inns do not make accommodation time settlement clear in obvious positions; there are wires passing through the corridors of small inns, posing safety hazards; transportation hardware facilities need improvement, such as some larger rail transit stations lacking public toilets; transportation services are not standardized, like bus drivers talking in the carriage while driving, taxi drivers making phone calls while driving; the "illegal taxis" phenomenon still exists in long-distance passenger transport and railway passenger transport centers, and even some drivers from regular taxi companies pick and choose passengers and arbitrarily set prices; important scenic spots or turning points within the scenic areas are unclearly marked, and places with potential safety hazards lack warning signs; some scenic spot introduction boards have worn-off characters, some have wrong or blank characters; some small travel agencies do not sign contracts with tourists, do not provide regular invoices, tour guides change itineraries at will, services are not standardized, and business knowledge is lacking. In January this year, the Shanghai Tourism Administration and the Municipal Consumer Protection Committee launched a tourism consumption experience activity, selecting 88 tourism consumption volunteers to conduct consumption experience activities along 40 routes targeting six aspects of Shanghai's catering, accommodation, transportation, shopping, touring, and entertainment. Today, the Shanghai Tourism Administration and the Municipal Consumer Protection Committee jointly released the tourism consumption environment experience report to help relevant departments rectify the tourism environment, urge related enterprises to improve and enhance service quality, promote the creation of a good tourism consumption environment, and welcome the arrival of the World Expo.
