China News Service, Sanmenxia, March 25th (Yang Dayong, Zhou Kuiming, Xiaoyu) - The sister-in-law and brother-in-law had an affair. Due to the sister-in-law's regret, the enraged brother-in-law picked up a kitchen knife and killed her. Recently, the Intermediate People's Court of Sanmenxia City concluded this intentional homicide case, sentencing the suspect Wang to death, depriving him of his political rights for life.

Wang, who dropped out of primary school, is a farmer from Caiyuan Township in Shan County. He originally had a happy family; his wife Yang was diligent and hardworking. She had a younger brother whose wife was Yuan. The younger brother and his wife lived in Sanmenxia city selling fruits. The two families frequently visited each other, maintaining a very harmonious relationship.

However, Wang and Yuan started with casual greetings, then exchanged simple jokes, and eventually their conversations were filled with obscene language. In May 2007, they crossed the moral boundary and secretly met behind the backs of their siblings. After one such meeting, they discussed how to stay together long-term and achieve their double happiness. They decided that the only way was for both of them to divorce their respective spouses, then marry each other to be together forever. This seemed like the perfect plan to them, and they agreed on it.

After returning home, Wang tried every possible way to pick fights with his wife and physically abused her multiple times, forcing her to agree to a divorce. Unable to bear the torture any longer, Yang left home heartbroken.

With Wang's goal almost achieved, all he had to wait for was Yuan's divorce. But by the end of 2008, Yuan still hadn't confronted her husband about the situation. Ultimately, such an adulterous relationship couldn't remain hidden forever. Faced with rumors from others and her increasingly aware son, Yuan fell into deep contemplation. She finally decided she no longer wanted to maintain this relationship with her brother-in-law and wanted to live a proper life with her husband.

Upon learning that Yuan refused to divorce and wanted to cut ties with him, Wang repeatedly approached Yuan, but she remained firm in her decision without changing her mind. Wang felt furious that he had caused his own family breakup for Yuan.

On February 16, 2009, at noon, Wang, who had received no response, went to Yuan's rented place on Huochang Road in Sanmenxia. Yuan was eating lunch, preparing to bring food to her husband. Wang again brought up their relationship, but Yuan ignored him and picked up the lunch box from the coffee table to go deliver food. Wang blocked Yuan, and during the struggle, he lost control and grabbed a kitchen knife from the chopping board, slashing fiercely at Yuan's neck. Yuan ultimately died on the spot due to severed carotid arteries, jugular veins, trachea, and esophagus.

Recently, the Intermediate People's Court of Sanmenxia City concluded this intentional homicide case. The court ruled that: defendant Wang illegally deprived another person's life through violent means due to disputes with others, causing death, which constitutes the crime of intentional homicide. His criminal methods were particularly cruel, and the consequences extremely severe. According to law, he deserves severe punishment. Legally, the defendant Wang was sentenced to death for intentional homicide, with his political rights deprived for life. Additionally, he must compensate the civil litigation plaintiff for funeral expenses, death compensation, and maintenance fees totaling 100,000 yuan.
