Relevant regulations on industrial and commercial registration for individuals opening online shops will be introduced in March.

The Interim Measures for the Administration of Online Commodity Trading and Related Service Behaviors stipulates that individuals opening online stores should register under their real names, and those who meet the conditions should also complete industrial and commercial registration. The draft for soliciting opinions stipulates that natural persons engaging in online commodity trading and related services shall apply for real-name registration with operators providing online trading platform services; those who meet the registration conditions shall legally complete industrial and commercial registration.

A journalist learned from an informed source that the Interim Measures for the Administration of Online Commodity Trading and Related Service Behaviors drafted by the State Administration for Industry and Commerce is expected to be promulgated and implemented on the eve of March 15 this year. According to the draft for soliciting opinions of this method, individuals opening online stores must register under their real names, and those who meet the conditions should also complete industrial and commercial registration.

Since last year, the State Administration for Industry and Commerce has been actively engaged in the formulation of regulatory measures for online commodity trading and related service behaviors.
