Yesterday, the Haidian District Consumers Association exposed 29 fraudulent shopping websites and their telephone numbers. These scam websites mainly sell electronic products. The phone numbers listed on these sites are mostly from Tietong (China Railcom), with unclear addresses, making it difficult for consumers to protect their rights after being deceived.

Relevant persons from the Haidian Consumers Association introduced that in recent years, the association has received more than a hundred complaints about online shopping fraud. The prices of goods on these websites are only equivalent to 40-60% of the market price, tempting consumers to call and make inquiries before transferring money. However, consumers often do not receive the goods and are told by the websites various reasons why they need to continue transferring money. When consumers realize they have been scammed, they are unable to find the scammers. This is because the addresses of these scam websites are either fake or cover a large area, making them impossible to track down. The phone numbers left on these websites are basically Tietong's "One Number Service." After verification with China Railcom, the Consumer Association learned that these phone numbers are mostly registered in Guangdong and Fujian provinces.
