One of my Internet experiences - Discovering the First Homepage

Today, I was aimlessly surfing the internet. Originally, I wanted to look up the hard drive search software that Baidu had recently launched. So, I typed "Baidu search software" into Baidu's search bar. Among the search results, I saw an article questioning why Dell could pre-install Google search software but not Lenovo with Baidu. This made me wonder why Baidu and Google couldn't be searched simultaneously. So, I entered "Baidu Google simultaneous search" into Baidu's search bar. As a result, I found a website called "Di1 Homepage," its URL being www.di01.com. I briefly looked at the website's introduction, which seemed well-written. Out of curiosity, I clicked in. The interface of this website greatly surprised me: the left half of the site was Baidu's, while the right half was Google's. In the middle and top between the two was a search bar named "Dual Search." With the intention of testing the function of this website, I inputted "123" into the Dual Search bar and clicked "Dual Search." The search results shocked me again. I originally thought it would open two pages simultaneously: one for Baidu's search results and one for Google's. To my great surprise, it actually placed both search results on the same webpage without interfering with each other. Wouldn't it be much more convenient to use this to search for things? Afterward, I tried several times, and the effect was really good.

Having gained confidence in this website, I returned to its homepage and noticed that it actually had two links that weren't very noticeable—I hadn't spotted them when I first entered the site. One link was "Baidu URL 123," and the other was "Search as You Wish." I tested these two links separately. On "Baidu URL 123," the website managed to place Hao123's URL links on the left side and Baidu's search on the right side, allowing simultaneous use. This interface would be very useful for beginners on the internet. I truly admired the author of this website, who had painstakingly recreated over a hundred webpages from Hao123's URL directory. After trying this webpage, I also tested the "Search as You Wish" page. More astonishingly, it could simultaneously search multiple search engines like Baidu, Google, Yahoo, iAsk, Sogou, Zhongsou, etc., making it even more powerful and user-friendly. After carefully examining the entire website, I didn't find any advertisements, so I decided to set it as my computer's default homepage.

The above is one of my meaningful online experiences. The internet is always mysterious and vast, like a mine. As long as we dig earnestly, unexpected surprises will always appear. Here, I also want to thank those who create search engines; they provide us with incredibly convenient, fast, and direct channels for mining gold on the internet.
