Microsoft Vista SP1 internal testing: 12,000 people get to experience it early

September 25 news: According to foreign media reports, Microsoft announced on Monday that the beta testing of Windows Vista SP1 has started internally.

Microsoft stated on Monday that it has distributed the beta version of Vista SP1 to 12,000 people for testing. At the end of August, Microsoft had announced that the beta version of Vista SP1 would be released within a few weeks.

According to Microsoft's latest plan, the official version of Vista SP1 will be launched in the first quarter of next year. Microsoft also pointed out that there are not many new features in Vista SP1; it mainly improves stability, security, and performance.

Therefore, Microsoft advises users not to wait for the release of SP1 before deploying Vista. Additionally, last week Microsoft announced that it will release the candidate version of Windows Server 2008 this week.
