What is Google Wave?

Google Wave is a new type of online communication product from Google that combines email and instant messaging software. The design concept for Google Wave was proposed in 2004 and officially began implementation in 2007. The industry believes that Wave should not be seen merely as a simple web application (program/platform) on the Google site, nor should it be viewed as just simple web-based instant messaging. Instead, it should be regarded as "collaborative office" work or even as a new type of online communication platform.
