In December of last year, our program once reported on the "I will give a suggestion for building a new Yancheng city" People's Suggestion Solicitation Activity held by the Yancheng Municipal Party Committee and Government. The activity received support from a large number of citizens. Now that the activity has ended and the two sessions are about to be convened, how many "golden ideas" have the citizens provided for the construction of a new Yancheng? What expectations do they have for the two sessions?

I am prepared to discuss this issue online - through blogs and the Yancheng Hotline, to talk to the government about my views. I plan to suggest ways to improve the city and how to enhance the well-off life.
When the "I will give a suggestion for building a new Yancheng city" activity began, the enthusiasm of citizens to participate was very high. Even though the activity has now concluded, this enthusiasm has not waned. At the People's Suggestion Solicitation Office of the municipal government, we see that some citizens still personally come to offer their suggestions, contributing ideas for the construction of a new Yancheng.
Among the numerous suggestions, there are not only those proposed by local citizens but also many people from outside the city who care about the development of Yancheng. These enthusiastic individuals have offered valuable suggestions for the urban development of Yancheng.
Voiceover: Deputy Secretary-General of the Yancheng Municipal Party Committee and Government, Director of the Yancheng Municipal Letters and Calls Bureau, Hong Jianing Since the launch of the "I will give a suggestion for building a new Yancheng city" People's Suggestion Special Solicitation Activity, we have received a total of 230 pieces with 720 suggestions. After screening, 46 pieces with 127 valuable suggestions adaptable to Yancheng's economic development were adopted, among which 29 pieces with 75 suggestions are currently being implemented.
Whether the suggestions will be adopted is a question many citizens are concerned about after making their suggestions. Our relevant departments have considered this issue. To reassure citizens, they invited some of them to the implementation site of their suggestions. Mr. Yu is one of them.
Voiceover: Citizen Mr. Yu The toilets are quite advanced, and the sanitation facilities are relatively standardized. I am very pleased to see that the suggestions I proposed have been adopted and implemented by relevant departments of the municipal government and have achieved results. It shows that the suggestions put forward by grassroots masses are effective.
Although the special solicitation activity of People's Suggestions has come to an end, the enthusiasm of citizens to make suggestions and participate in political deliberations has reached a peak again with the arrival of the two sessions. Attention is focused on the two sessions, and public opinion converges on the two sessions. Topics such as employment, food safety, and new rural construction have continued to heat up in the days leading up to the two sessions.

Citizen 1: Now, prices are rising sharply. We hope the government can take measures to stabilize prices, which directly relates to the livelihood issues of ordinary people. Also, the Labor Contract Law came into effect on January 1st. Whether the Labor Contract Law can be fully implemented is uncertain. Measures should be taken so that both employers and employees can accept it, and labor contracts can be signed. We hope the government can take certain measures.
Citizen 2: Regarding current health foods, we request the government to increase efforts so that we, the common people, can buy safe food. If the intensity increases, those who fake products will not dare to do so.
The streets and communities are the places where people talk most about the "two sessions." Ms. Zhou Lanfang, the director of Yangzhong Community in Yulong Subdistrict Office, is a representative of the Yancheng Municipal People's Congress for two terms. As the two sessions are about to be convened, to be a close confidant of the citizens, she often goes deep into the masses to understand their voices.
Voiceover: General Secretary of the Yangzhong Community Branch of the Yulong Subdistrict Office, Zhou Lanfang Community workers need to frequently and deeply understand the calls and demands of the masses, timely promote and answer the policies of the government, strengthen service awareness, and help them solve some practical difficulties.
On the eve of the two sessions, Director Zhou also made some anticipations for the two sessions. The reflections of the people reflect a common wish: hoping for a harmonious society and better living conditions.

Evening Commentary: Citizens eagerly await the two sessions to promote social harmony. The convening of the two sessions is followed closely by all the people of the city, allowing reporters to deeply feel that today's ordinary people have a sense of the bigger picture, integrating themselves into the entire social political process. They know that national affairs and global events will ultimately relate to their own family matters. Political wisdom is necessary to build a harmonious society, allowing the common people to enjoy happy and peaceful lives.
