In the early morning of August 16, Shanghai No.2 Intermediate People's Court held the third trial for defendant Sun's embezzlement case.
What drew much attention from outside was Sun's special identity.
From November 2000 to August 2005, Sun was the telecom industry sales representative of HP Shanghai Branch; during which he was hired as the business operation director of 9 You at an annual salary of more than RMB1 million.
This also planted the seeds of his misfortune. In April 2006, HP Shanghai Branch and 9 You agent Shanghai Yousimaike International Trading Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Yousimaike") sent a report letter that brought Sun into court. In May the same year, Sun was arrested by Shanghai Public Security Bureau and has been imprisoned since then.
According to the indictment of Shanghai People's Procuratorate on April 19 this year: As a HP salesperson, defendant Sun illegally occupied more than USD2.1 million property of HP with advantages of his position, which is considered a huge amount, and he should be prosecuted for the crime of "embezzlement".
And in the column of "main evidence to determine the above facts" in the indictment, names like Zhu Jun were clearly listed.
