After the outline, it is found that in some small regions abroad, the monthly expenses for raising boys account for less than 20% of household expenditures; while in 44.29% of families, the monthly expenses for raising girls are between 500 to 1000 yuan. The economic investment in raising children has made many young people hesitant about having children, but this huge cost of cultivation has also prompted the birth and gradual prosperity of an industry.
Hotspot: Early education industry enters its golden early stage
According to data from the China Population Statistical Yearbook: There are a total of 70 million infants aged 0 to 3 years old in China, among which there are 10.9 million rural infants aged 0 to 3 years old. Taking Nanjing as an example, for families with a monthly income of 1500 yuan, the monthly expenditure on children is 532 yuan, and for families with a monthly income reaching 5000 yuan, the monthly expenditure on children is 1135 yuan. If 30% of each child's monthly expenditure is used for educational savings, the prospect of the early education market reaches hundreds of billions of yuan. It is precisely because of the huge market demand and development space that domestic brands represented by Golden Treasures and local early education institutions represented by Oriental Love Babies and Red Yellow Blue have successively occupied the Chinese market. Nanjing's community early education demonstration bases have rapidly developed from 20 in 2002 to currently over 100, with local early education institutions accounting for half of the market.
Highlight: Bridging preschool and primary school education surfaces
The transition classes for "quasi-primary school students" have become a major highlight of this year's children's training. Currently, startup China and foreign children activity centers' "smart fool" course classes are actively conducting research and teaching on "preschool-primary school bridging." Among them, the Jingcheng Education Group has established an early education center in Yuhui District, opening a dedicated campus focused on after-school education for the first time. According to Chairman Wang Guoxin, most children do not show significant differences in intelligence quotient but their academic performance varies greatly, mainly due to the lack of learning enthusiasm and good study habits. According to a survey organized by UNESCO, 40% of primary school students face issues of poor academic adaptation and social adaptability before entering school. Therefore, Jingcheng decided to launch a scientific and comprehensive "preschool-primary school bridging" teaching course system during the summer vacation period. The "Smart Fool" class, which started earlier in preschool-primary school bridging education, has now achieved remarkable results, with nearly half of the 2000 students entering key schools in urban areas, and some students even being admitted to the gifted class of Yuanguan Primary School. Before the start of the new school year, many parents expressed that their children quickly adapted to the new role and smoothly transitioned.
Challenge: Talent shortage limits industry development
From the perspective of development, the challenges faced by early education institutions cannot be ignored. The severe competition among various early education institutions, the uncertainty of national early education regulations and systems, and the competitive challenges faced after joining the World Trade Organization all bring great pressure to the development of early education institutions. The shortage of early education talents has seriously restricted the development of the entire industry. Since Nanjing currently does not have specialized colleges cultivating early education talents, the teachers currently working in early education institutions are mostly transferred from the long-term education industry, and some early education institutions have no choice but to cultivate their own students.
