Japanese ABB (Headquarters: Tokyo) is set to launch a field-installable industrial gas chromatograph (Process Gas Chromatograph) titled "PGC1000" that does not require a protective enclosure. The device features a structure with two analysis systems and detectors housed within the unit, enabling the measurement of C2~C2+, inert gases, and hydrogen sulfide (H2S) contained in hydrocarbon fluids.

In terms of pricing, the standard system ranges from approximately 2.5 million to 3.5 million yen.

The gas chromatograph is equipped with two types of detectors: a thermal conductivity detector (TCD) and a hydrogen ionization detector (FID). Regarding measurement range, the minimum scale is 0~10 ppm, while the maximum scale is 0~100%. Besides being suitable for industrial gases, it is also applicable for hydrocarbon analysis in natural gas, methane, and other fuel gases containing biogases.

The dimensions of this gas chromatograph are 241×397×224mm. Due to its compact size, it can be installed near piping and other locations. The housing complies with NEMA 4X and IP56 protection standards. Additionally, under IECEx Ex d IIB+H2 T6 conditions, it meets Zone 1 explosion-proof specifications.
