Feralas is located in the western part of the Kalimdor continent. It does not have any major cities but is characterized by barren hills and remote areas in World of Warcraft (WOW). Feralas is a place without large urban centers but with desolate landscapes, which is a common feature throughout the southern region of Kalimdor. In reality, Feralas is a lush valley shaped like the capital letter "L." It extends north to Desolace, borders the sea to the west, and on its eastern and southern sides lies the hinterland of Kalimdor and the outskirts of Thousand Needles, respectively. In fact, Feralas is almost split into two parts by a prominent ridge that protrudes through it in WOW, extending all the way to the ancient city of the Highborne, now known as Dire Maul. On the opposite coast, there are two large islands: Sardor Isle, where Feathermoon Stronghold is located, and Isle of Dread, where Naga lie in wait. In WOW, the precise location of Feralas is in the western part of the Kalimdor continent. Its population is approximately 2,200, consisting of 35% Ogre, 30% Tauren, 20% Night Elf, and 15% Naga. The governance structure in Feralas is tribal. The rulers are Shandris Feathermoon, King Gordok, and Shalzaru. Shandris Feathermoon, a level-2 female Night Elf, level-6 Warrior, and level-4 Paladin, serves as the Sentinel General of Feathermoon Stronghold. Gordok, a male Orc and level-14 Warrior, is the King of the Gordok Ogre Kingdom. Shalzaru, a male Naga and level-15 Mage, is the King of the Hatred Naga. The primary settlements in Feralas include Camp Mojache, Dire Maul, Feathermoon Stronghold, and Isle of Dread. The universal languages spoken there are Nazga, Tauren, and Thalassian. Additionally, the inhabitants believe in Holy Light and Shamanism. Minerals and timber can be found in Feralas, making it a contested area among various factions.
