Not long after announcing the largest recall in China, Toyota announced another major recall in North America on October 5th due to reasons such as the potential detachment of front floor mats which could interfere with accelerator operations and cause accidents - a recall involving 3.8 million vehicles including the hybrid "Prius" and six other models sold in the United States. According to a report by NetEase Auto on November 25, citing AFP reports on November 25, Japan's Toyota Motor Corporation plans to recall approximately 4 million vehicles from the U.S. market to address safety hazards that may affect the throttle pedal.

According to Kyodo News Agency reports, not long after announcing the largest recall in China, Toyota announced another major recall in North America on October 5th due to reasons such as the potential detachment of front floor mats which could interfere with accelerator operations and cause accidents - a recall involving 3.8 million vehicles including the hybrid "Prius" and six other models sold in the United States.

Since the beginning of this year, Toyota has set multiple large-scale recall records. On August 23, Toyota's two joint ventures in China, FAW Toyota and GAC Toyota, announced that due to defective components, starting from August 25, they would recall certain models of the Vios and Corolla, involving a total of 688,300 vehicles, marking the largest single recall since China implemented its automobile recall system in 2004.
